DP World reports growth as it enters Taiwan

Growing Dubai-based terminal operator signs MoU for the development of Kaohsiung port.

DP World has become the first global terminal operator to start business in Taiwan, as it reported higher volumes for the first half.

The Dubai-based company said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with state-run Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) for the development of the Kaohsiung terminal.

Kaohsiung used to be one of the world’s top container ports and DP World explained it wants to develop the port and bring back some of the past glory.
