Greece’s Diana Containerships has decided to halt dividend payments after falling to a loss in the second quarter.
The Nasdaq-listed owner said the net deficit to 30 June was $8.01m, compared to a profit of $0.89m in the same three months of 2015.
Revenue fell to $7.99m from $17.33m, mainly due to “reduced employment opportunities and time charter rates”, it added.
This was partly offset by an increase in ownership days as the fleet expanded.
