Klaveness Ship Holding’s chief executive has opened the door for consolidation of its container division, after recognising impairment charge on its fleet.

Lasse Kristoffersen told TradeWinds the company would be interested in entering negotiations with potential partners.

“We are always open to see if we will continue alone or with others.

“We have nothing on the table but we would be willing to discuss with others with similar ships and in a similar situation and see if we can create something big enough to be a significant player,” he said.
