Israeli businessman Eli Tilles is planning to establish shipping companies to serve smaller Pacific Ocean nations.
Tilles has returned from a conference of leaders in the region held in the Solomon Islands with the idea of introducing more competition in island trades, the Jerusalem Post reported.
He said only one company operates in the area, pushing up prices and harming local economies.
