Taiwanese container line Yang Ming has posted a big increase in its net loss for the second quarter as revenue fell.

The company said the deficit to 30 June was TWD 4.78bn ($150.57m), against TWD 24m in the same period a year ago.

Revenue dropped to TWD 27.77bn from TWD 32.58bn, while operating costs were stable at TWD 31bn.

The result left its cumulative six-month loss at TWD 8.45bn.
