Malaysia’s Shin Yang Shipping has pushed up its 12-month profit thanks to a busier shipyard operation.

The liner and shipbuilding player said net earnings to 30 June were MYR 6.83m ($1.68m), from MYR 5.51m in the previous year.

Revenue was MYR 723.6m against MYR 911.37m, but the fourth quarter loss was reduced to MYR 1.81m from MYR 4.93m.

The shipbuilding and shiprepair segment increased revenue by 365% in the last three months as five ships were delivered.
