State-run Korea Development Bank (KDB) is reported to be considering loaning KRW 50bn ($45.4m) to help Hanjin Shipping discharge its cargo.

KDB, the main creditor of the container line, will finalize the loan extension this week, according reports by the Yonhap News Agency.

The move comes a day after Korean Air Lines, Hanjin Shipping largest shareholder, reportedly offered to loan the shipowner KRW 60bn.
