Croatia and Poland’s state-owned pipeline operators have agreed to connect both countries’ LNG import terminals.

The players Thursday signed a wider cooperation agreement, according to Bloomberg.

Poland is building a regas terminal in Swinoujscie.

Croatia is also planning an import terminal on the island of Krk along with a gas thermal-electric plant.

The Krk regas project is expected to cost €600 million ($774 million), Croatia’s Economy Minister Radimir Cacic told reporters in Zagreb.
