Fortis Merchant Banking announces appointments for Energy, Commodities and Transportation
Fortis Merchant Banking has appointed Anne Marie Verstraeten as Managing Director for Energy and Gust Biesbroeck as Managing Director for Transportation.
Gust Biesbroeck has been appointed as Managing Director and Global Head of ECT -Transportation, succeeding Harris Antoniou after his appointment as CEO of Energy, Commodities & Transportation. Within Fortis, Gust was global head of risk- and portfolio management in Transportation for 7 years. Prior to this, Gust worked for Nedship Bank (now DVB) for over 10 years in various commercial- and management roles in Rotterdam, Athens and Hong Kong
Anne Marie Verstraeten has been appointed as Managing Director and Global Head
of ECT - Energy, succeeding David de Buck who has become the new CEO of
Fortis Equipment Lease and Finance.
For the last 3 years, Anne Marie was Senior Banker in Corporate and Public
Banking responsible for worldwide coverage of prime UK Merchant Banking
clients. Prior to this, she was in charge of the UK Commercial Banking
business where she built up the Business Centre network.
