US owner Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) has ordered 13 heavy duty mooring assistance and escort tugs.
They will be built in the US under Dutch yard group Damen’s technical cooperation programme.
The ships will be used for two major projects for which ECO has recently won contracts.
The first of these is a deal at a new Corpus Christi based LNG export terminal.
