The pool of platform supply vessels (PSVs) operating in Brazil has dropped by 11 year-on-year, according to figures from broker Westshore.
There are 163 ships in the country currently, down from 174 at the start of 2016.
The number of Brazilian-flagged ships has increased, however, to 19 from 10.
"These figures reflect the Brazilian legislation and the drop in demand," Westshore said.
It also said Vega Offshore's 1,400-dwt PSV Vega Corona (built 2012) had left the sector for Cape Verde after finishing a four-year charter to Petrobras.
