UK-listed drilling group Global Energy Development (GED) is moving into subsea shipping with an agreement to buy 11 vessels and a barge from US owners.

The company, which currently operates in Colombia, will become Nautilus Maritime Services after the deals go through.

Two separate share agreements will see it buy ships operating in the Gulf of Mexico.
