Oystein Stray Spetalen’s SD Standard Drilling is adding another three platform supply vessels (PSVs) to its fleet.
The company is buying the 5,000-dwt Volstad Viking (built 2007) and Viking Princess (built 2008), and the 5,100-dwt Volstad Supplier (built 2007) from Volstad Shipping for $40m combined – or $13.3m each – its biggest spend yet.
The first two of these are currently in layup.
