Havila Shipping has been awarded a long-term contract from compatriot Reach Subsea for one subsea vessel.
The two Oslo-listed companies have agreed on a three-year charter for Havila’s 98-loa Havila Subsea (built 2011).
According to Clarksons, the vessel has been laid up for months, although it was being marketed for contracts.
Njal Saevik, chief executive of Havila, said: “We are pleased to be awarded this contract for one of our vessels in a challenging market, and see this as an acknowledgement of Havila Shipping as a high quality operator and shipowner.
