French seismic vessel operator CGG is teaming up with Eidesvik to set up a new shipowning company.
The two sides, in conjunction with Eidesvik's Nordic banks, will control CGG's five owned ships, which are currently cold stacked: the 5,500-dwt Geo Coral (built 2010), the 4,750-dwt Geo Caribbean (built 2008) and Geo Celtic (built 2007), the 6,000-dwt CGG Alize (built 1999) and the 5,200 Oceanic Challenger (built 2000).
