Dutch owner Van Oord is upgrading an offshore support vessel to boost capacity.
The 6,500-dwt Aeolus (built 2014) will head to Damen Shiprepair at Schiedam for the work in September.
Loading, accommodation and crane capacity will be improved by the installation of sponsons and deck strengthening.
Spud cans will be enlarged and a new accommodation module grafted on, with a helideck.
The existing 900-tonne crane will be replaced by a 1,600-tonne leg encircling crane.
