Norway's Dof Subsea has taken 100% ownership of a Canadian subsidiary that ordered a new offshore vessel in 2015.
It has bought the remaining 55% of Canadian Subsea Shipping (CSS), raising its stake from 45% previously.
CSS has a ship under construction at Vard Group in Norway.
Vard announced the order for an undisclosed international customer in November 2015.
The ship is designed by Vard Design in Alesund, with the hull constructed at Vard Braila in Romania and outfitting taking place at Vard Langsten for handover in May 2017.
