Norwegian shipowner Shearwater GeoServices has clinched a contract from charterer TGS for survey work off Ireland.
Parent GC Rieber Shipping, which owns Shearwater with Rasmussengruppen, said the job represents four vessel-months of backlog.
TGS had already announced it had won a multi-client deal for the Crean 3D project.
"The survey will be acquired utilising one of Shearwater's high end 3D vessels," Rieber said.
