Saudi Aramco has signed about a dozen deals worth a combined $50bn with a long string of US oil services companies during president Donald Trump’s visit to the Middle East.

Familiar industry names include National Oilwell Varco, Halliburton, Rowan, GE, Nabors, Schlumberger, Weatherford and Baker Hughes.

Offshore vessel owner and contractor McDermott signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Aramco that is meant to expand its “physical and human capital within the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia]”.
