Oslo-listed Subsea 7 has extended a series of charters for pipe-laying ships in Brazil.

The company said Petrobras will keep the 145-loa Seven Waves (built 2014) and the 146-loa Seven Rio (built 2015) and Seven Sun (built 2016) until the second and third quarters of 2021 and the second quarter of 2022 respectively.

Undisclosed rates and terms remain the same.

Marcelo Xavier, vice-president for the Brazil region, said: "These contract extensions reflect our long-standing relationship with Petrobras.
