Songa Offshore has emerged victorious in the first round of an arbitration battle with South Korea’s DSME.

The Oslo-listed company said a London-based tribunal ruled in its favour in a case regarding two Cat D rigs, the Songa Endurance and the Songa Equnox.

DSME had filed claims of $372.7m in total against Songa, alleging it had made “inherent errors and omissions” in the design documents, which led to cost overruns.
