Oslo-listed Odfjell Drilling has committed its semi-submersible Deepsea Stavanger to work for Aker BP in the Norwegian Sea and Barents Sea.
The $68m contract lasts for nine months and starts next February.
The unit will explore and develop drilling at various locations.
The deal follows on from the estimated completion of the Wintershall Maria contract and fills the gap until it heads to South Africa to complete a well for Total.
