Svitzer has struck a deal with Portuguese owner Rebosado that will help the company expand its footprint in the country.

Rebosado will time charter its fleet of seven vessels to Svitzer, which will operate a total of nine ships in the port of Setubal.

Kasper Friis Nilaus, managing director of Svitzer Europe, said: “By expanding our operations into Setubal, Svitzer can now offer comprehensive port cover for the main ports in southern Portugal, thereby providing our customers with a better service.
