India's government is preparing to sell its 73% stake in Dredging Corp of India (DCI).

The New Indian Express reported that the cabinet and the cabinet committee on economic affairs (CCEA) have both approved a deal to privatise the company.

Estimates have put the value of the state holding at INR 14bn ($217m).

DCI is controlled by the shipping ministry.
