Sembcorp Marine and SBM have both confirmed major fabrication contracts for Statoil’s Johan Castberg field development.
The Singapore company has put pen to paper on a $490m deal for the turnkey engineering, procurement and construction of hull and living quarters for a newbuild FPSO.
The unit, which is due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2020, will measure 55 metres wide by 295 metres in length.
