Norway's GC Rieber Shipping has secured a four-month charter for a construction service vessel (CSV).

The 6,300-dwt Polar Queen (built 2011) has entered into a deal with an unnamed European offshore client, with options to extend by a month.

"With this charter, all GC Rieber Shipping subsea vessels have secured contracts for the summer season 2018," the owner said.

The ship will be used in the British sector of the North sea to perform walk-to-work duties, starting in May 2018.
