South Korea’s major shipbuilders look to have lost out on the contract to build BP’s $1bn Tortue FPSO for West Africa.
On Monday TechnipFMC said it had been awarded the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for the floater.
The US-listed company will use subcontractor Cosco for the construction work, in what is thought to be a first for China.
