Months of growing positive sentiment appears to have backfired for offshore shipowners in the North Sea, at least in terms of vessel reactivations.
Short-lived market improvements in April and overall high expectations for the summer have prompted the return of 19 offshore support vessels out of lay-up in the region so far in 2018, according Westshore Shipbrokers.
Fourteen of the 19 reactivated units are platform supply vessels.
