A UK mission to salvage $750m of gold and silver cargoes from World War II wrecks has been held up due to the rise in offshore support vessel (OSV) rates.

Salvage company Britannia's Gold (BGL) had identified nine potential ships in the Irish Sea and Atlantic after an April survey and had hoped to start bringing the bullion back to shore in June.
