The 297-bp Siem Opal (built 2011) bagged the rate to move the Songa Trym rig, after a deal with Marathon for the TransOcean Winner rig move was cancelled on Thursday.
This is up from the previous high this year of NOK 1m, achieved this week and in January.
It is the highest rate recorded since October 2011, when Siem, Solstad, K-Line and Viking fixed ships at between NOK 1.65m
