Fifteen crew were evacuated after a blaze started in theengine room of the 140-tonne-bollard-pull Ramco Crusader (built 1983) at 15:00on Monday, Petrobras said in a statement.
The anchor handler belonging to the Poland-based owner sank six hours later after drifting to about 45 kms off thecoast of Beberibe, Ceara state.
There were no casualties or spills reported, Petrobras said.
Vestland Marine owns a mixed fleet of nine offshore supportvessels, according to its website.
