The Brazilian shipbuilder lodged the filing for so-called judicial restructuring in the state circuit court in Rio de Janeiro, launching a bankruptcy that has been expected since its key oil company customer did the same more than  a week earlier.

OSX said it rescinded the contracts with OGX for a wellhead platform and for the OSX-2, a 100,000 barrels per day floating production, storage and offloading unit (FPSO) converted from a tanker.
