Age Remoy’s Rem says the 3,500-dwt Rem Mermaid (built 2008) has seen its contract with Peterson Den Helder stretched until July 2016 on market terms.
Two years worth of options also remain on the redrawn contract.
Peterson first took the vessel in 2008 on a five year pact TradeWinds reported to be worth EUR 22,000 daily, which at that time worked out at $34,756.
In December 2012 the charterer extended the contract until the start of July 2014.
