Norway’s Ocean Yield is moving into the gascarrier sector with an order for three new liquefied ethylene gas (LEG) shipsin China.
The 36,000-cbm vessels will be built atSinopacific Offshore & Engineering for delivery in August, October and December 2016.
The total investment is $243m, Ocean Yieldsaid.
They will be chartered to Germany’sHartmann on a bareboat basis for 15 years.
The first 10 years have a fixed rate, whichwas not disclosed.
