The Norwegian owner’s subsidiary Aker Oilfield Services (AOS) was notified by the oil major in Angola that it had terminated a $250m two-year deal for the 11,000-dwt support ship Skandi Aker (built 2010).

Total has already paid $100m in fees since September.

“The vessel's capacity utilisation has been 37% so far in 2014 after operations halted at the end of March for maintenance and repairs,” it said.
