GOS: no talks

India’s Global Offshore Services (GOS) has been forced to deny for the third time its controlling Garware family is selling out of the business.

The offshore shipping company said its major shareholders were not in talks with giant French group Bourbon over a disposal of its holding.

The Hindu Business Line had cited unidentified sources as saying a deal for a majority stake will be signed on 14 July.

Bourbon had previously been linked to a move for the owner in February.

Mumbai-listed GOS has been valued at $700m.

The supply ship and anchor-handler company is run by chairman Ashok Garware and managing director Aditya Garware.
