Technip wins Total deal

Offshore group Technip has won what it calls a "large contract" for subsea operations off the Shetlands, UK.

Its ships will install 12-inch pipelines and a steel tube umbilical for the Edradour subsea development 75km offshore for Total.

The work will be performed in the summer seasons of 2016 and 2017.

Knut Boe, president of the company's North Sea Canada division, said: “Technip is extremely proud of the award of this contract, which demonstrates the competitiveness of our project management and engineering organisation and of our new state-of-the-art vessel."
