Bibby builds offshore fleet

Bibby Ship Management has secured contracts to manage two platform supply vessels (PSVs) and an FPSO.

Indian owner Samson Maritime has handed Bibby’s Singapore office the 5,000-dwt Ocean Turquoise 1 and another vessel it does not identify.

The PSV has just been delivered from Jingjiang Nanyang in China and is the largest in the Samson fleet.

According to a statement from Bibby, the second ship is “just being finalised”.

Both vessels are operated by the company’s Singaporean arm, Global Samson.

A Tecnomar & Associates FPSO, the OSX 2, is also heading to Bibby for technical and crewing management.

The vessel is the former VLCC Concorde Spirit (built 1989), which was converted by SMB at Keppel last year.

Bibby manages over 60 vessels in total.
