The cutter suction dredger has become the ninth unit added to the fleet of a Nigerian company for an undisclosed price.
Heavy rain made engineers’ work more difficult as the assembly took place at a scrap yard on the marshy side branch of a river.
The cranes of 250 tons and 500 tons got stuck in the mud more than once and the dredger had to be hoisted no less than 25 metres from the river bank, as conditions were too swampy right next to the shoreline.
