The system will be installed on Ocean Yield’s 10,900-dwt Aker Wayfarer (built 2010) which is under long term charter with AKOFS Offshore.

Rolls-Royce said the £24m ($38.4m) contract marks the largest single subsea vessel project it will have ever undertaken.

The vessel, which was built by Vard Soviknes, will undergo project modification work at Kleven’s Myklebust Verft yard in Norway.

The modifications will allow for the deepwater installation and retrieval of subsea equipment; subsea trees and modules, including subsea structures and manifolds.

The
