The contract is for a period of seven years and will see the rig deployed in the Asia Pacific region by the first quarter of 2015.
Singapore-listed Swissco said the deal was secured by a joint venture company established in partnerships with Union Offshore.
The two companies have entered into a memorandum of agreement to acquire a rig to meet the requirements of the charter contract.
