The Thoresen Thai-controlled subsea services provider says it has fixed the DP2-rated Windermere (built 2010).
Mermaid says it has chartered the vessel for an initial five years at an annual cost of $15m with an option to extend for another five years.
It will be delivered to Mermaid subsidiary PT Seascape Surveys Indonesia in December and renamed to Mermaid Nusantara.
On Monday MEO confirmed that it had acquired the subsea operations vessel from the fleet of collapsed company Hallin Marine.
