The sale of the Jasper Cosmopolitan to Singapore’s Alyar Offshore was cancelled after the buyer failed to pay a deposit or inspect the vessel.
In early November Jasper said it was selling the semi-submersible vessel for $75.6m after it failed to take delivery due to insufficient funds.
The Paul Carsten Pedersen-led company said it had no alternative sale or charter opportunities in a deteriorating exploration market.
