The 12,500-dwt Lone (built 2011) will transport and install the test piles, contributing to a project that will consist of 70 wind turbines with a total capacity of up to 350MW.
Lone was previously working for an oil and gas project off Angola.
The wind farm is scheduled to begin operations in 2017.
The installation phase has been essentially concluded with all works at sea having finalised without incidents.
