The contract was awarded by a consortium led by Queiroz Galvao Exploracao e Producao SA (QGEP). The value of the deal was not disclosed.
In connection with the contract TOO has agreed to acquire the Petrojarl I FPSO from parent Teekay Corp for $57m.
It is then due to be upgraded at the Damen Shipyard Group’s Schiedam Shipyard in the Netherlands for a fully built-up cost of about $240m, which includes the cost of acquiring the Petrojarl I.
