Its parent CSIC, the state-owned shipyard group, said six 8,000-bhp anchor-handlers and 10 16,000-bhp multipurpose support ships will be constructed under the contract.
Wuchang is designing the DP2 vessels, which represent its biggest single offshore order.
Brokers have linked Otto Marine to the deal, but it has yet to comment.
Otto has four supply ships on order at Wuchang for delivery this year and in 2016.
