The Norwegian state-controlled oil giant will take the 5,900-dwt Viking Energy (built 2003) for another twelve months.
Eidesvik said the new contract comes into form in April 2015 and includes a further one plus two years option .
The Viking Energy broke new ground when it was delivered in 2003 as the first LNG fuelled PSV. It has been on contract for Statoil since delivery.
