The P-58 produces 106,000 barrels of oil and gas per day from the Parque das Baleias project, 115km off Vitoria.
Petrobras said the move was preventative, aimed at improving efficiency on a vessel that has been producing for a year, but is only now receiving its final commissioning, Reuters reported.
Because of its incomplete systems, P-58 was operating at only about 60% its designed capacity.
