It named the ship as the 6,000-hp OLV Venture 1 (built 2014), with DP2 positioning.
The seller was Wellspring Marine Trading, it said.
The ship will be reflagged from China to Malaysia to support exploration and production activities in Malaysia and South-east Asia.
The deal is being financed partly through new shares it has recently sold, plus bank debt.
