The Oslo-listed company said the two parties have agreed a revised deal for the BW Athena, which is employed on the Athena oil field in the UK.
BW Offshore added that production from the Athena field will continue beyond expiry of the firm contract.
The compensation scheme has been revised, involving advanced payment of an FPSO demobilisation fee and sharing of positive cashflow from the field.
